France Paris Champs-Sur-Marne Disneyland Paris Issy-Les-Moulineaux Rosny-Sous-BoisAbout Paris
Situated around the Seine in central France and just over 2 hours from London on Eurostar, Paris is a global hub for fashion, art, culture and gastronomy. It's also one of the worlds most intimate and romantic city destinations - perfect when you're planning to treat that special someone.
Whether boutique cafe's on hidden cobbled streets, quaint neighbourhood bistros or the ultimate in fine dining with multi-michelin starred monuments to the gastronomic arts, Paris offers the ultimate culinary experience to backup its iconic reputation.
Temperatures are a very comfortable 20-30°C from May right through to September with lows around 5°C in mid-winter. Rain is light and evenly spread throughout the year, but heavy flash downpours are not entirely uncommon.
A major air, rail and road transport hub, Eurostar will get you there from London in about 2 hours, while flights into Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) can have you there in just over an hour. Theres also Beauvais-Tillé (BVA) and Paris-Orly (ORY) to consider. Local transport includes the RER, Tramway and Metro for getting about once you're there - though many of the joys of exploring this incredible city come from what you find on foot.
There's so much to do and see in Paris, just make sure that once you've ticked off your bucket-list attractions: the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Champs-Élysées and the Louvre, you still leave time to take in the natural beauty that surrounds you from one of those cosy local bistros. What are you waiting for? 2 hours from London....book your trip now.

And here I am 8 months later still surviving, and still very much a vegetarian. So I think I can say it was a good decision....
