You can have popular places like Cala Figuera or Cala Mondrago all to yourself. Hiring a car in March is also so much cheaper and the roads outside of Palma de Mallorca are empty. There are also plenty of free car parks around the island, as the big hotels in resorts are not open yet, so you can use their car parks for free if you hire a car. The temperature reaches around 16℃ during the daytime in March, falling away to 10℃ at night. However, if you're going to be outside for long periods it's worth wearing a broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen and UV-blocking sunglasses. Remember that bright surfaces, such as water and sand increase UV exposure.
