About Prague

The Czech Republic's capital city and nicknamed "the City of a Hundred Spires", it sits in the northwest of the country with the Vltava river running right through it.

With its stunning buildings, gothic churches and its endless maze of cobbled streets and hidden courtyards, this city will leave you thirsting for more.

Beer is one of its greatest exports, but step into the local bars and taverns and the never-ending selection is quite incredible. Want to take this to the next level, check out the Czech beer festival held for 17 days every year in May where over 70 different brands can be sampled.

When it comes to the culinary arts, Prague doesn't disappoint with 3 Michelin starred restaurants among its wide selection - Field, La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise and Alcron are all worth a try.

A temperate climate with low's below freezing and pleasant summers upwards of 20°C, Prague sees very little rainfall throughout the year. Snow is not uncommon, however, in the winter months.

An excellent metro service and a hub for the Czech railway system, Prague is also served by Václav Havel Airport (PRG).

From theatres where you can witness the Czech and Prague Philharmonic Orchestra's and State Opera, to Prague Castle with the St. Vitus Cathedral, Saint Nicholas Church and the medieval Astronomical Clock with its hourly shows, there's so much to do and see that there's really no excuse not to book your next trip now.
